Focus on keeping your core engaged.

You can change the focus of the exercise by adjusting the angle of your upper arms, or by moving your hands. In a traditional push-up, your upper arms will be at a 45-degree angle to your body at the bottom of the movement. If you keep your elbows close to your sides, that adds an extra challenge for your triceps.
