Building sustainable cities in Sub-Saharan Africa 

Over the past five years, ICLEI Africa, the Covenant of Mayors in Sub-Saharan Africa (CoM SSA) Secretariat host, has provided technical support to over 100 cities, and catalyzed 69 city-level projects, unlocking a potential €629.5 million in investment.


ICLEI Members in Japan contribute to the IPCC Special Report

ICLEI Members in Japan took part in the City Governance Stakeholders’ Workshop held in March in Yokohama, discussing insights from a prior survey on urban governance. ICLEI Japan will contribute these findings to the upcoming IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.

Public authorities can apply in three categories: Sustainable Procurement, Innovation Procurement, and Global Initiative. Led by ICLEI Europe, this edition features ICLEI President Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh, Mayor of Malmö, Sweden, on the jury alongside other procurement experts and policymakers. Apply by 30 April.
