‘Love On The Spectrum’ Renewed As Drama Surrounds Cast Members

Date:

Netflix is committing to another season of its beloved autism dating show amid big changes for many of its cast members.

The streaming service said that it has given the green light for a fifth season of “Love on the Spectrum.”

The Emmy-winning documentary series follows adults with autism who are dating, in some cases for the first time. The show’s fourth season has been among the top 10 most popular shows globally on Netflix since it premiered earlier this month.

The renewal comes as several “Love on the Spectrum” cast members are seeing their relationships evolve.

During the fourth season, Madison Marilla and Tyler White became the first couple to get engaged on the show. Meanwhile, long-time couple Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman reportedly broke up when they couldn’t agree on when to get married.

Subsequently, Georgie Harris revealed that she has a new boyfriend after splitting from Connor Tomlinson during the fourth season. Tomlinson said he does not plan to return for the show’s next season.

And another couple, James B. Jones and Shelley Wolfe, recently bought a home together.

The U.S.-based “Love on the Spectrum” is a spinoff of an Australian version, which ran for two seasons.

Netflix did not indicate when it expects to make season five available.
