The report documents how sudden funding cuts have halted services, disrupted peace efforts, and put huge pressure on local organisations. But the report also shows how communities are responding with mutual aid, community giving, local philanthropy and South–South partnership.
The message from local actors is clear: we can’t go back to the old ‘aid’ model. We need a shift towards solidarity and shared responsibility – with communities in the driving seat.
