I am notoriously lukewarm about using fitness trackers to track sleep, HRV, and general “readiness,” whatever that means. When it comes to training decisions or assessing how well-rested I am, I do not want to outsource my own intuition and common sense to a watch or a ring or a wrist strap.
That doesn’t mean I’m a total Luddite, however. You might be surprised to learn there is one piece of fitness tech I use regularly—and I don’t mean my standup paddle board or my fat bike.
