“What is the electoral system? Until 2016, Jordan was among the few countries still utilizing the single non-transferable vote system. This system, long criticized for its limitations, was replaced in 2016 by an open list proportional representation system – a system under which voters cast their ballots for both the list of their choice and the candidate(s) of their choice within that list.”
