Classroom Deal of the Day: Crayon Sharpener for Less Than $35

Date:

Have you ever used or tried an electric crayon sharpener? While opinions are divided on this classroom gadget, with some calling it a “kindergarten teacher must have” and others saying it’s “frustrating,” we wanted to let you know we spotted it for the lowest price we’ve seen in years on Amazon.

Right now, you can snag the Elmer’s CrayonPro Electric Crayon Sharpener for less than $35

Is it worth it? Well, it depends on who you ask. With more than 1,500 reviews on Amazon, the crayon sharpener has an overall 4-star, positive rating. “My students love this,” writes one reviewer. “They always say ‘it looks just like a new crayon!’ when I sharpen one for them.”

However, other reviewers note that you need to be careful not to break off a crayon in the machine or it will jam. The consensus seems to be that only grown-ups should be doing the crayon sharpening, not kids.

If you’ve used an electronic crayon sharpener, we’d love to hear your thoughts!

We’re curious—what else can we help you save on this month?

Email us at editors@weareteachers.com and we’ll try to include your suggestions in our deal roundups. Happy shopping!
