How I Set Up My AI Projects: Join Us Today

Date:

A live stream is scheduled for August 28 at 5 PM to demonstrate how to set up AI projects in ChatGPT, Claude and Google Notebook LM. Join and learn how someone else uses AI to see if there is something you can add to your workflow.

One thing people ask me a lot is “how do I set up projects” in their AI tool of choice. Well, whether it is Claude, ChatGPT, or Google Notebook LM there are some similarities and differences. So many people (including my students) just type in prompts and use AI like “Google Search” and this doesn’t always give you accurate results at all. In fact, even Google Search, which is “AI powered” many times, is far less accurate than the original Google search. Today’s stream is to help you discover effective strategies to set up AI projects and maximize the accuracy of your AI tool’s responses.

About 75% of my time is in specially trained projects inside the AI tools I used. The results are more accurate, specific to me and huge time savers. This is my project platform inside ChatGPT. We’ll also work with Claude and Google Notebook LM in today’s stream.

But let’s say you have a specific type of task that you want to do and you don’t want just the content from random places on the internet to inform the AI tool. There are no dragons here to train, but you can train your AI to give you better results and it is actually pretty easy.

So, I will be setting up three projects – one in each platform live today at 5 with a deep dive. In this post, I’ll cover what we’ll be talking about today, how the stream will work and why I’m testing live streaming at all.

We’ll talk about using prompt stacking to better create instructions. We’ll mention custom GPT’s. I’ll talk about when I use the different AI tools. You’ll get to see behind the scenes for the pro version and some tips and tricks that I don’t even think about.

Google Notebook LM is the tool my students say is the most useful one I’ve ever taught them. I’ll jump into that tool as well today.

I don’t use AI for everything – like writing this post. And yes, I’ve always always used hyphens. I don’t use AI for my newsletter except little summaries of my podcasts and radio shows that I sometimes have it do in the format I like. I do use AI for a lot of the heavy lifting for editing shows and such as the ai-powered text tools are so helpful.

And one reason I think live streaming is pretty great is that it is definitely being done by a human! In this case, we’ll be not only teaching but learning the streaming platform. So, I hope some of you can tune in today at 5pm. We’ve had it as a goal to try in August so here we go. Ready to go.

Where can I watch the stream?

Why Live Stream?

Today, Thursday, August 28 at 5pm I’m learning something new. My son, John, who is also my producer has been “after me” to live stream for a while. He says that I can share a lot and it doesn’t have the pressure of editing the tutorial videos. I have had several tutorial videos in my back pocket for a while I don’t have just perfect, so I know he is right.

So, today we’re doing it. My recording platform, Riverside.fm, has live streaming to a variety of social (and RMTP – which is for radio and such) and I’m “dipping my toe in the water” today.

I hope some of you will connect with us. If not, if it turns out ok, we’ll leave the recording behind. (If it doesn’t, it may be deleted but hopefully it will be great.) If we do mess up it won’t be the first time (or the last) but if it is helpful that is great. We have planned several weeks of “Live at 5 Deep Dives” if this goes ok. If it doesn’t that is fine. I don’t know that it will be a full hour – it might be 15 minutes sometimes or 30 minutes (like today.)

I hope some of you can join us!
