Join Eco-Cycle for a new webinar!

The Psychology of Stuff
Thursday, November 14, 2024
6:00 pm–7:30 pm MT, via Zoom

This year, instead of brawling over a flatscreen at a big box store, join Eco-Cycle for a brand-new webinar all about conscious consumerism! We are lucky to be joined by guest speaker (and Eco-Leader) Dr. Kelly Kandra Hughes, who holds a PhD in psychology and is an expert in minimalist living and anti-consumerism. In this webinar, we seek to answer the question: Why do we have so much waste, and what can we do about it? Through this discussion, you will gain insight about your brain’s own patterns as well as tools to rewire those patterns and start consuming mindfully.

Take a tour of our local recycling facilities!

Friday, November 15, 2024
10:00 am–12:30 pm MT
Eco-Cycle (6400 Arapahoe, Boulder, CO)

Celebrate Green Friday with a tour! We are offering free, public tours of the facilities where all Boulder County’s curbside recyclables (and hard-to-recycle items) are processed so we can see the “downstream” of consumerism.

We will be touring the Boulder County Recycling Center and the Eco-Cycle Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials (CHaRM), and gaining insight about where our stuff goes (reminder: there is no “away”)!

U-Fix-It Clinics

U-Fix-It Clinics are community events where people bring all sorts of broken appliances, toys, electronics, clothing, and jewelry and work with volunteer coaches to learn hands-on repair skills. Not only does this save resources from the landfill, but it also empowers us to repair our own belongings and builds community around the role of reuse in a circular economy! Eco-Cycle is proud to be a supporter of this impactful, feel-good event.
