The Prishtina Institute for Political Studies (PIPS) is an independent non-governmental organization established in 2003, under the auspices and support of the Council of Europe. Through its School of Political Studies, PIPS’ flagship programme, the organisation focuses on building political and institutional leadership capacities of young professionals from diverse backgrounds and fostering political dialogue.
Beyond the School, PIPS also engages in different raising awareness and research activities in the broader field of democratization and European integration. PIPS’s mission focuses on promoting democratic values, fostering political dialogue, and shaping public policies.
PeaceNexus has been supporting PIPS in its process to strengthen its own conflict sensitivity and social cohesion ambitions. PIPS is currently developing a conflict sensitive strategy to chart out what it wants and can achieve in the current and forecasted context in the upcoming strategic framework and timeline. Additionally, PIPS will review the School of Political Studies curriculum and make adjustments based on conflict sensitivity lens to ensure it is in line with its growing social cohesion ambition and attracting greater diversity in its participants, especially from the Kosovo Serb community as a tool to foster political dialogue and create an avenue for constructive debate.
