Protein Intake Vs. Intermittent Fasting

Date:

Getting enough protein is imperative. Protein is also the most satiating macronutrient, and some people struggle to hit their daily targets. Ask anyone on a GLP-1 drug.

Intermittent fasting is beneficial and for many people, myself included, it’s the most natural eating pattern. But a compressed eating window adds another layer of complexity when you’re trying to get 100 or more grams of protein a day. Not everyone wants to eat 40-50 grams of protein in a single meal.

If you have a hard time doing both, which wins? Is it better to eat slightly less protein or expand your eating window, giving up some of the benefits of intermittent fasting?
