Report release: Afghanistan and Central Asia: Analytical Project on Politics and Economics of a Common Space

In 2025, our new partner, the Tashkent-based organisation Centre for Progressive Reforms (CPR) launched an expert research pilot report bringing together trade facilitation specialists from all five Central Asian states and Afghanistan.

The study explores the peacebuilding potential of enhanced trade in border zones. While also examining the political and economic foundations of building a common space between Afghanistan and Central Asia, with a focus on trade facilitation, regional integration, and pathways toward peace, friendship, and shared prosperity.
