Report release: Living Voices of Business Forum

On November 13, 2024, PeaceNexus and the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth policy of the Kyrgyz Republic organized a business forum dedicated to exploring the role of entrepreneurship in advancing civic identity and social cohesion under the Kyrgyz Jarany Concept. Bringing together business leaders, government representatives, and civil society experts, the forum provided a unique platform for dialogue on how businesses can go beyond economic contributions to become drivers of social cohesion and national pride.

 

Key discussions revolved around integrating civic values into business practices, promoting corporate social responsibility, and fostering a new social contract between businesses and society. Speakers highlighted the importance of building trust, supporting local entrepreneurs, and creating an environment conducive to sustainable growth. The event underscored the potential of the private sector as a pivotal force in strengthening Kyrgyzstan’s civic identity and global image.

In addition to panel discussions, the forum featured inspiring case studies from local entrepreneurs who exemplify the principles of Kyrgyz Jarany. Participants explored how businesses can champion cultural heritage, environmental sustainability, and education reform, showcasing their role as models of civic responsibility. The event emphasized that fostering a strong civic identity requires collaboration between the private sector, government, and citizens, with a shared vision of unity, trust, and progress driving Kyrgyzstan’s development.
