River Network’s Next Chapter is Here… and We’re Looking for our Next Executive Director – River Network

Date:

A message from John Weiss, Chair, River Network Board of Directors

In January, River Network’s Board of Directors formally initiated the search for the organization’s next Executive Director. We’re seeking a mission-driven, collaborative leader with a growth mindset who will guide the organization through a period of continued renewal, as described in the job posting — which went live on February 10 and which you can see here on the website of the firm supporting our search. Most importantly, we’re focused on ensuring River Network’s next leader understands, and is excited to tap, the tremendous potential for even greater impact that exists individually and collectively within you, our Network members.

I’m very pleased to report that the search has already made great progress, resulting in a diverse pool of exciting and highly qualified candidates. While we’re moving expeditiously through a screening process and toward a first round of interviews in early- to mid-March, we are not in any way foreclosing the possibility of identifying additional candidates. Please continue sharing this exciting opportunity with your networks and encouraging applications from people you know who embody the Network’s values and have the skills and experience we seek.

As we move with great optimism toward River Network’s next phase, I remain deeply appreciative of the River Network team who, in the face of not insignificant challenges over the past year, has demonstrated remarkable dedication, creativity, and shared leadership to ensure the continued and seamless delivery of programs and services to our Network members. On behalf of the entire Board — thank you. You’ve maintained a foundation of organizational strength that will no doubt serve the new Executive Director well.

I look forward to seeing many of you in San Antonio in May (register now!)
