Urgent Action Needed: Famine risk in South Sudan

Search for Common Ground is on site in South Sudan, working tirelessly to deliver food aid and support to people who have fled fighting and violence. But we can’t do this alone. We urgently need your help to reach those most in need. Together, we can make a difference. Your support can help families facing starvation.

Feed families in the midst of conflict

The urgent humanitarian crisis in Sudan is causing a massive movement of refugees and returnees into South Sudan. This is putting a heavy strain on a country that already supports over 2 million internally displaced people from the 2013 civil war in South Sudan.

Our team is mobilizing to provide essential food packs in South Sudan. With your support, we aim to procure a mix of food items sufficient to sustain families for 2-4 weeks. Each food pack includes staples like rice, beans, and cooking oil. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those trapped in displaced persons camps, offering them hope and sustenance during these challenging times.

Donate food relief to families in South Sudan

We are focused on vulnerable populations, particularly women-led households that have lost husbands in the conflict. We plan to collaborate closely with local peace committees and camp leadership to ensure secure and conflict-free food distribution. Despite diminishing support from the UN and other NGOs due to economic crises and reduced services, we are committed to providing crucial aid where it’s needed most.
