From eye-tracking privacy risks to Florida’s AI-powered Algebra class, this April 2025 roundup breaks down what every teacher needs to know. Watch for my take on the biggest education headlines — and what they really mean in your classroom.
There is so much news happening now. I’m personally finding some of the voices I follow to be useful. Their commentary on happenings assists me. I decided to return to a format I often used a decade ago. (Yes, my blog is almost 20 years old!) So here we go with the “News Overview” post, where I share what I’m reading. I also give my take on it. This post includes just the summary of what I talk about on the show.

This will also become the show opener for my Cool Cat Teacher Talk radio/TV/YouTube show. I may not always air these on the 10 minute teacher, but today I am.
You will learn about classroom tech updates. There will be discussions on AI breakthroughs and policy shifts. You will even find out about health concerns with the receipt paper you touch every day. Here are the top stories I covered in Episode 894 of the 10 Minute Teacher Podcast.
