Small Islands have legal right to to control CO2 and climate change

Date:

Today the Law Of  The Sea tribunal ruled that Small Island States, inter alia, have the legal rights and obligations to prevent, reduce, and control pollution leading to climate change impacts on marine natural resources.

Governments are required to prevent pollution, protect the marine environment, and restore degraded habitats, as laid out in sections a-g of the final paragraph.

We must hope all nations follow their international legal obligations!
