On May 20th 2025, the West and Central Africa Conflict Sensitivity (CSC) Hub had the privilege of hosting a session at the Global Conflict Sensitivity Hub Conference!
The session, titled “Voices from West and Central Africa: Taking Ownership of Conflict Sensitivity at Individual, Organisational, and Collective Levels,” was an interactive space for sharing hands-on experiences and innovative practices in integrating conflict sensitivity across sectors.
This collaborative webinar featured: the vision, dynamics and functioning of national and regional hubs, as well as the added value they bring as platforms for coordination and dialogue.
Moreover it delved into the practice behind the following topics:
- Integrating conflict sensitivity into humanitarian and development programming, especially during times of crisis
- The role of religious and spiritual leaders in conflict prevention
- Conflict-sensitive approaches to natural resource management, climate resilience, and environmental initiatives
- Strengthening conflict sensitivity in media and communications
These hubs are essential in enabling collective action and building bridges across countries, organisations, and sectors, through the practical application of conflict sensitivity.
A recording of the session is available here.
The presentation of the session is also available here.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this inspiring session.
